Progression in The Veil is not one bar filling up, it is several currencies feeding different systems that have to be sequenced correctly. Sins and Offerings unlock classes and raw power, Ichor and Silver pay for weapon enhancement and enchanting, and Gems and Fire Essence sit above them as advanced resources. Prestige then converts part of your character into permanent strength, trading progress for a stronger foundation on the next cycle. Because each system competes for the same farming time, the accounts that pull ahead are the ones that attack the current bottleneck instead of grinding whatever is closest. Core Mechanics

The Veil separates progression into parallel tracks that meet at specific walls. Class power comes from Sins and Offerings, gear power comes from Ichor and Silver through the blacksmith and enchanter, and permanence comes from prestige, which resets part of your character in exchange for a stronger base. Advanced resources like Gems and Fire Essence sit above all three. The key mechanic is that these tracks do not scale each other automatically: a player with high class power but low enhancement hits the same boss wall as someone with strong gear and a weak class. That is why efficient progression is about identifying the current limiting factor and farming specifically for it, instead of accumulating whichever currency happens to drop.

Advantages

Sequencing the currency web correctly produces compounding returns. A focused account unlocks one good class, enhances one weapon, then prestiges only when upgrades stop returning value, which means every cycle starts from a stronger base than the last. Because enhancement, enchantment and class power all multiply the same underlying build, a small advantage in each compounds into a large difference in clear speed. Code rewards accelerate the whole system by removing the reroll bottleneck for free, and the prestige ladder gives that loop a visible direction with badge tiers at 5, 10, 15 and 20. The result is progress that feels deliberate rather than a grind without an endpoint.

Challenges

The main risk is misallocation, because almost nothing in the progression system is refundable. Silver and Ichor spent enhancing the wrong weapon, Sins and Offerings spent on a class that does not fit your race, or a prestige triggered before gear is ready each convert farming time into nothing. The system also hides its own bottlenecks: a player can hold plenty of one currency and stall because the actual gate is a resource they have not farmed. Prestige adds a second trap, since the stat loss on reset can make previously farmable content difficult again if you reset on a plateau you had not actually reached.
